The Pasture North Dakota

Wayne & Becca Baumbach
The Pasture is a family farm, owned and operated by husband-wife team, Wayne and Becca Baumbach. When the farmstead was purchased in 2018, the property was heavily worked and planted with corn. Over the course of six years, the Baumbachs have removed thousands of pounds of debris, enhanced the soil with organic compost, and restored the property with native grasses, wildflowers, fruit trees, wildlife, and the rotational grazing of their livestock.
At The Pasture, we raise Katahdin sheep, Myotonic (fainting) goats, honeybees, turkeys, and chickens, along with a pair of cute toddlers, two pups, and a handful of helpful barn cats.
We use environmentally friendly practices to raise our animals and support our honey bee colonies. Through rotational grazing, we revitalize the soil, enhance the water cycle, and build the plant and wildlife diversity on our farm.
We do not use hormones, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, antibiotics, or synthetic fertilizers. Our herds are 100% grass-fed, our flocks are free to roam, and our bees pollinate an array of wildflowers.
