Nourishing Our Roots
Farmer Leadership for Conservation and Community

Empowering North Dakota farmers to be leaders
Nourishing Our Roots: Farmer Leadership for Conservation and Community fosters community-driven conservation, strengthens a culture of stewardship, and ensures that soil health and natural resource knowledge continues to grow across North Dakota by equipping farmers with the skills and confidence to educate, advocate, and inspire. The program prepares farmers to speak in workshops, host farm tours, mentor beginning farmers, share their story to build their customer base, and advocate for their farm and sustainable agriculture.
What to Expect
A variety of in person and online seminars will be held from July 1, 2025, through November 1, 2026. When possible, seminars will be partnered with other events, such as the Carrington Field Day and the Local Foods Conference, to encourage in-person attendance. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for participants to connect with fellow farmers and build a stronger sustainable agriculture community.
