Dakota Pygoras was founded in 2021 when retired couple Dennis and Carol Simenson agreed their 40 acres would be managed more efficiently with animals eating the weeds and maintaining the pastures. Carol, known as "Dakota Carol," is a former REALTORⓇ, while Dennis has a background as a helicopter pilot. Today, Dakota Pygoras offers a variety of services, including kid sales, stud services, and the production of high-quality Pygora fiber that hand-spinners love to spin. Their farm has also become a stop-off place for travelers with campers and a gathering spot for fiber enthusiasts to host fiber get-aways or goat/fiber/spinning events.
