Soil Health & Organic Growing Field Day in partnership with Acres USA
Join us on Monday, August 12th for a day of learning on the farm! This FREE field day is open to beginning and experienced farmers interested in unlocking the secrets to healthy soil and achieving organic success.
Here’s what to expect:
- 10:00AM: We will gather at Menoken Farm (1107 171st St. NE Menoken, ND 58558). The morning will begin with coffee and a tour of the farm. The knowledgeable folks from the Burleigh County Soil Conservation District will share their expertise on building and maintaining healthy soil practices.
- 12:00PM: We will take a break for a delicious, catered lunch.
- 12:45PM: Listen to presentations on soil health and organic certification from guest speakers including Nic Podoll, Midwest Organic Consultant for Rodale Institute.
- 2:00PM: Travel south of Mandan to Forager Farm (2175 53rd St Mandan, ND 58554 - 13 miles south on Hwy 6).
- 3:00PM: Hannah and Jonathon Moser will give us a firsthand look at their organic farm and guide us through their organic certification process, offering valuable knowledge for those considering this path.
