About the event

In partnership with Walsh County Three Rivers Conservation District and Grafton SummerFest:

We invite you to join FARRMS and the Walsh County Three Rivers Conservation District for a guided walking tour along the scenic trail at Leistikow Memorial Park in Grafton!

Here's what you can expect:

FARRMS Social & Breakfast: Start your morning with fresh coffee, delicious pastries, and a chance to meet the FARRMS’ Executive Director Stephanie Blumhagen, Farmer Educator Jake Callander, and Local Food Educator Jenna Nieters to learn about our mission and work throughout ND.

Guided Walking Tour: Josh Anderson, District Conservation Manager & Watershed Coordinator for Walsh County Three Rivers Conservation District, will lead the guided walking tour. The tour will be a casual walk through the scenic park trail, with tour leaders pointing out different tree varieties, answering questions, and sharing their knowledge about:

  • The importance of trees in protecting North Dakota's soil health.
  • The park's pollinator garden, led by Master Gardener Heather Szklarski.
  • The newly planted FFA Orchard.
  • The district's ongoing and upcoming projects, including grant funding opportunities.

Never been on an arbor walk? Don't worry! This guided tour is perfect for all experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned tree enthusiast or just curious to learn more, you'll gain valuable insights and enjoy the beauty of Leistikow Park.
