Jake & Tori Callander

Farming has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. The idea of Nature’s Roots Farm began in 2020 while pursuing my degree in Agricultural Systems Management from North Dakota State University. Today, the farm is currently growing on 1/3 of an acre with numerous opportunities and potential to continue to grow. I (Jake) am the owner and main operator of the farm’s daily work. My grandparents (Bonnie & Arlen) volunteer to help with daily tasks, and my wife (Tori) continues to help support our family and the farm. At Nature's Roots Farm, we grow a diverse array of vegetables and fruits that are all interplanted together. We also provide a compost bucket subscription to help families across the Red River Valley to compost their food scraps.
