About the event

*REGISTRATION CLOSES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH*

Join us for an immersive event that aims to connect you with the local food system in Fargo and the passionate farmers who nurture it. Tickets include bus transportation to the tours with convenient pick-up and drop-off in Fargo, breakfast, lunch, and access to the Mini Market. Meals are thoughtfully prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

Brief Itinerary (subject to change):

Discover Diverse Farms: Embark on a journey through the scenic Red River Valley as we tour three farms, each offering a unique perspective on sustainable agriculture. Convenient bus pick up locations with coffee & grab-n-go breakfast include; the West Acres mall Parking Lot in Fargo, ND and 114 4th St. Christine, ND. We will spend the morning and afternoon touring the farms listed below with a break for lunch & end the tour with a mini market where you will get the opportunity to purchase products directly from the farmers.

  • Family Roots Farm: Experience the essence of good food grown right, with heirloom plant varieties, farm-grown ingredients, and ethically raised animals providing healthy, locally-sourced produce, raw honey, eggs, and pasture-raised meats.
  • Exit 44 Flowers & More: Witness the beauty of locally grown flowers, reducing the carbon footprint while preserving pollinator-friendly practices. Delight in the two acres of vibrant perennials and annuals, and explore a fresh-cut flower farm.
  • Ten Seven Acres: Immerse yourself in the world of alpacas, where character, quality, and "huggability" take precedence. Learn about the farm's vision of becoming a destination for quality fiber, superior animals, and a very real approach to raising alpacas.

Mini Market: After the farm tours, interact one-on-one with the farmers themselves at the mini-market. Discover and purchase their fresh produce, flowers, fiber products, and more, while forging deeper connections with those who grow your food. *Frozen items will be available for purchase so you may consider bringing a small cooler or cooler bag if you plan to purchase those items*

Thanks to our Sponsors for helping us be able to create this incredible opportunity to support local farmers, strengthen our community's food system, and engage with the sustainable agriculture movement!
