Scholarships

FARRMS is here to help you learn and grow!

FARRMS has available resources to further support the education of new and beginning farmers. These resources allow for scholarships to participate in FARRMS programming, such as Farm Beginnings.

In addition, we are able to make scholarships possible for program participants to attend sustainable agriculture conferences through assisting or waiving registration fees and offering travel reimbursement.

For those in need of financial support in the form of scholarships, we request that you address your financial need, future plans within agriculture, and willingness to give back to the program in future years.

Scholarships will be awarded based on need, motivated learning outcomes, prior number of FARRMS scholarships awarded, available resources.

You will be contacted upon review of your application. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a reimbursement after attending the conference. Please keep all receipts.

Below you will find an application form for FARRMS’ scholarship offerings with program specific information.

TESTIMONIALS

"I plan on staying in close contact with the agriculture community and working to try and improve the food system and access to clean, healthy food. I enjoy agricultural work because of the instant satisfaction it can supply in many tasks and look forward to continue growing both literally and figuratively."

FARRMS Intern, 2019

"Food is what unites us as human beings. This is a lens into how it is produced and enables you to learn skills and characteristics about yourself that you never knew existed."
