In 2016 and 2017, ND local food leaders from Dept. of Agriculture and USDA Rural Development created an outline for the development of a coordinated local food system in North Dakota. Their work led to the formation of NDLFDA. Read the ND Local Food Plan below.

This is a ND Americorps Position under the Souris Basin Community Builder Program. The NDLFDA Coordinator will coordinate the North Dakota Local Food Development Alliance’s communications and activities and grow NDLFDA’s membership.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain an in-depth knowledge of local food systems and develop skills in community organizing and nonprofit management.
This position reports to the FARRMS Executive Director, Stephanie Blumhagen. This is a remote work position at approximately 15 hours per week for a total of about 675 hours to be completed before September 15, 2021. Member receives up to $8,775 total (roughly $13/hour) and is eligible for an education award upon completion of service.
