The Grant/Loan Program at FARRMS
|
WHO CAN APPLY:
- Available to North Dakota Residents only.
- Farms that are certified organic or actively transitioning into organic production.
- Non-certified projects on the organic farm – for example a free range poultry operation that isn’t certified.
- Growers whose gross sales are under $5000 who meet the NOP organic rule but do not need to be certified.
- Producers with an idea for a sustainable project.

Application Deadline is varied pending the scenario you apply for (see below for scenario examples):

HOW CAN THE GRANT/LOAN BE USED:
- Grant/Loan can be used for a variety of projects or expenses, but should be directly related to the farming operation, including but not limited to: fencing, computers, seed, irrigation, equipment, etc.
- Experimental plots or other research-based projects will only be considered if the applicant has already applied for a SARE Producer Grant and has been denied.
