Greenhouse & CSA Workshop Nov 4 - Mark your calendars!
Mark your calendars and plan to attend this information packed day!
In the morning we will hear from experts how to extend the ND growing season by utilizing greenhouses. Speakers will be Terry Nennich and Chuck Waibel.
In the afternoon, we'll find out about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and how this new service is growing in ND. CSA's can have many forms. Typically, a consumer will purchase a share of a season's vegetable harvest before spring planting from a producer. The producer plants, tends and harvests the crop from which the shareholder receives their "share" each week for a designated number of weeks. The shareholder shares in the risk and reward of farming with the producer. Our speakers are Holly Mawby, Jay Basquait and Annie Carlson.
It's a great concept and growing in popularity in ND.
Join us as we hear from great presentors on these two topics. Lunch is provided.
